We understand that your board requires absolute clarity and compliance before proceeding with any fundraising initiative. Here are straightforward answers to common operational and legal questions regarding our real estate referral partnership.
Is a referral fee arrangement legally compliant?
Yes. Real estate referral fees are legally free to all non-profit organization. The 50% split is paid directly to your legally registered non-profit entity at the close of escrow, ensuring full compliance with state laws and real estate regulations.
When does our organization receive the funds?
Funds are distributed immediately upon the successful closing of the referred real estate transaction. The payout is processed directly and securely through the escrow company.
Will the member referred get some of the referral fee too?
Yes. The decision how much they will get is delegated to you. You can split the 50% between your organization and the member any percentage that is acceptable for everybody. I recommend 25% each, or 30% to the member and 20% to your nonprofit organization. It is both your decision to make.
How is our members' confidentiality protected?
We adhere to strict fiduciary privacy standards. Your members' personal and financial information is never shared outside the essential scope of the real estate transaction and is always treated with the utmost discretion.
